due to this year's drought and shortage of feed I am trying something a little different. these stalks are wet, so they should ensile nicely
LS MT352 unloading silage wagons
Просмотров 71211 месяцев назад
A lot of people find it hard to believe how much this little tractor does. Pulls these wagons around no problem. However I would not want to be in hills or on the road pulling this kind of weight, but around the farm yard, its perfect! Still running it daily feeding cows as well as using it for jobs like this. Definitely happy with the purchase of this machine

for some reason my phone didn't record the first part so tomorrow I will get a longer video of pulling wagon to pile and unloading. this little tractors work ethic is pretty impressive!

first day chopping corn with the 1060 I took on trade last year after finishing corn silage. definitely notice the power usage the recutter screens require but the product looks amazing

Is it ever too late to plant winter rye? a quick look
I wonder if since you planted it with your corn planter you could cultivate to help remove trash
@gamefarmer188 possibly. But there is a lot of trash! And so far the stubble has been making it harder for the deer to eat the beans because it pokes their face
I tried to this for the first time yesterday. I didn't think it was too bad either. Did you change the inter race? How did you do it?
@ourgrowingdesigns pretty sure the inner race on mine was undamaged. However, if I remember right, you can use a long piece of round stock to reach the race through the axle tube and hit it with a hammer. May need to weld a couple tacks on the race so the round stock can get a better bite
G day Brad I guess I miss some shorts. The exhaust pipe made me think it was 6400. How is LSD doing. Ths
Hi Don! The LS is doing good!
@@LVFFarmVlogs I forgot How is Miracle & Oreo doing. I can't get over how Miracle I think u said was about 7 days out there. Ths
@donvoll2580 they are doing good as well
I bet that's nice stuff.
Glad to see the ls is still treating you right. When I see it get brought up in other conversations in the Facebook groups I tell people to go contact you It would be very interesting to see drilled soybeans with the Rye. Who cares if you make a couple wheel marks I thought about it in moving to a non-GMO Bean program . And if a guy doesn't take the Rye off the top but utilize the Rye for the weed control so then maybe I could get by with just one herbicide pass to terminate the Rye and then put down some residuals But with the tracks on the combine you'd only make a 30-inch wide Wheel track. Take the Rye off the top let them beans come through. Now you got me daydreaming again
Looks like a solid roof to me 😂
Well if going to be all the crazy shit content in videos there’s never going to be lack of content lol.
I'm going to put up another shed like that soon 😅...
😂
Better than no roof 👍🤣🤣
Really interesting with the rye/beans option. Love to see how bean harvest goes.
Still thumbs up on the LS Tractor?
Yes! It's been great so far. Very handy little tractor
Been there done that
Glad to see you are posting again Can't wait to see more
Thank you Brian
We've had fiber past our place for years it's changed hands through 3 different companies all of which have been useless. I'm on Starlink now which is incredibly faster than anything I've had. Most of my videos are clips stuck together with very little editing. Takes about 5 minutes.
are you going to Jon's event this year?
@@LVFFarmVlogs When is it? I have every intention of going again.
August 23rd
@@LVFFarmVlogs I just found it. I must have been looking the wrong places the other day. Unless something goes completely off the rails I will be there. I don't get much exposure to interesting farm stuff. I had a great time last year.
@farawayfarm2520 awesome, Jordan and I are planning on coming up. It's been a few years sense I've been to it
I got a couple those sheds 👌👌👍🏻
Well Brad, Been Quite a while, They Plowed down the Fiber Optic cable about a year and a half ago. My upload time for a2 min video went from 8 hrs to 45 seconds... But I use the system you told me about...... I use a Cannon Camera with a Card.... Use a Card Reader to transfer to Pictures file in Worn Out Computer and upload to yOU TUBE......... Mostly helping Clint when I can with the Hay, Just Finished at 4 pm est Mowing the last half of 200 acres AT 5 pm Clint unhooked Krone 325Easy-cut disc mower and hooked to 8 basket Krone Tedder to Tedd the 100 acres we mowed Friday..... ......
We just got are 1st cut hay off last week, wouldn't stop raining
I finished some first cutting last week as well. Had beautiful 2nd cutting cut at the same time!
get some!
been a helluva year period 🤣🤣
Internet issues suck, was taking me 6 to 7 hours to upload 12 min video, got fiber put in a few weeks ago and can do it under 10 mins now. . .
3 videos in one day
Most likely you would get decent beans unless it's really dry. Rye, and oats shade the ground, and hold moisture at their roots. Good to see you Brad.
lol 👍🏻
After it is sprayed, I would hope it will break down and not be too bad a harvest. Good luck. Beans looked pretty good.
@@TAHDAHFarm 🤞🤞
Looks like one of my sheds. 😂
Easiest to afford!
good to see you
The Rough made videos I personally enjoy the most almost like a livestream lol grain drill would be a good idea and free nitrogen for the Rye, grandfather used to seed clover into standing cereal so he could green feed it in fall Fibre internet is in the ground in our area too but we still use the satelit highspeed for now
Our internet is slow like that too.. as i do everything on my phone, i use the cell internet. Gotta put my phone in the right couple of spots, but 10-20 minute video, takes about 5 minutes.. My son in law bought an LS, partly because of your videos about it. His is a little bigger. Only negative I've heard, one of his guys said the seat isn't very comfortable but then, hes got messed up legs and is usually in a dump truck.
Hi Brad. It's going... Yesterday morning was a Friday morning, turned into a Monday afternoon.. today was a good Saturday morning, turned into a Monday afternoon... But we're doing awesome 😎🤪😜 Looks like things are going well!! 90°.. yes, it's warm, too warm for here too, but it's a whole lot better than the two weeks of 105° we had.. and the countless days of 95°+... It amazes me how so many places can double crop.. about the other way it can happen here, would be crimson, followed by Sudan.. and then it would have to be irritated or wet ground.. Thanks for the update!! Good to see you!!
Missed your posts please post more 😢😢
Glad your still out there brother. Don't blame you and happy to see your progress. All the best to you and the family.
With the all that extra straw, i think a gleaner would better suit you.
Probably be more productive, I could harvest and plant in one pass 😉😂😂
@@LVFFarmVlogs could probably mount a PTO on the back and apply manure as well.
@Heimerviewfarm 😂😂
Thought you was done with videos glad to see your not
@jeffhoard4777 thanks Jeff. Just been very busy with the farm and butcher shop, then add in poor internet service, just discouraged me from making videos
Better clean the gutters, look to be full of leaves.
😂
Nice 👍
More content to come? Hope all is well Brad!
@@e.a.bfarms hopefully soon!
@@LVFFarmVlogs Looking forward to it. Have you hit your feed quota for the year yet? Looks like you guys are having a good year!
@e.a.bfarms I need 25 more bales for my quota for the cow herd. Should have a pretty good surplus this year! Be nice to have a bunch extra for once!
THEIR one now listed for $1,000 on the Internet
You could use a steam cleaning tector soon ❤️
With insect of the rye mr Larson wht we do?
With the smal animals what we do mr Larson?
Seems like the filter and check valve assembly which is now at the bottom of the tank is made out of brass. Magnet would not help you there. Also, blowing air back from the primer bulb to the tank is not advised due to the check valve at the end of the line.
Maybe you can get a longer rear wiper blade and cut one end to make it fit? Yes, that front blade just sitting in the middle of the windshield would be annoying. They need to use a larger blade and move it over to the side like the Tesla cyber truck although I think it looks like shit on the cyber truck but it’s not resting in the middle of the windshield blocking your view When you’re not using it. How you like the tires compared to AG tread? You sell the 4020 yet? I’m looking for something in the 30 to 40 hp range definitely with a cab. Any pointers or tips would be appreciated. Great video thank you.
Longer wiper blades have helped, but still in line of sight. 4020 was sold 2 years ago, and I ended up buying a 4030 a few weeks ago that was on auction
Hello LVF, I know this is an older video but I was wondering how your corn row spacing experiment went? I'm two hours straight east of you and looking to do a lot of the same things you are doing. The difference is I have a clean starting point as I will be purchasing all my equipment and I'm wondering which one to choose. I do custom combining now and have both wide and narrow corn heads like you. I like your ideas of getting cover crops established early as my growing season is actually slightly shorter than yours. I also am thinking that if yields are very similar wider rows would be more efficient in harvesting as you are covering more area per pass with effectively the same amount of steel and weight moving through the field. I don't think weed control would be a problem since the covers would theoretically be there to smother them out. I hope your trial went well
I haven't tried any wider row spacing, but I have been planting covers and soybeans between 30 inch rows. Limited light is a factor, however soybeans have been performing well. I am currently trying to buy another corn planter that is wide row, set at 38 but can be set at 40. I think the extra 8 or 10 inches would get even better results. You are correct, weed control these days are pretty easy to combat with all the available herbicides, or row crop cultivators.
If you end up trying it, I would love to see how its working for you. Not sure if you plan to make video's or if you are on Facebook or Instagram. But keep me posted, Thanks!
I think the best tractor in the utility 60 horse hydro is the kioti ns 6010. Layed out real nice with good loader height. Only bad is its About 7k more than the ls mt357.
I was considering kioti/bobcat before I bought the LS. Synergy coop and the price are what made up my mind. It's nice getting patronage back! Lol
The mt573 has the best wiper design out of any tractor brand I’ve seen, front and rear. I agree the mt3 would be all around solid if the wipers where done like the mt5 and the loader had more lift height. Always a couple little things to improve.
What is the top speed in medium range? I m looking to possibly get the mt3 57 for loader work, offset flail mowing my fence lines, raking and tedding hay, moving bales ect. I have the mt5 73. And run a new idea 5209 Discbine and looking to get a 4x5 Vermeer signature baler for it. 1600 hours in two years bought from Ridgeland too. Nice tractors good service. Also how do you think the mt3 will work for loading a lime spreader up nice and full. overall height of the spreader is 72”
Not very fast! But if you run full throttle it seems to be relatively fast in mid range. Especially for loader work.
Loading lime into a 6 foot tall spreader might be a challenge. Middle range isn't very fast, but seems about right for loader work. Moving bales, raking, etc I run in hi unless it's a hilly field.
You take care of it
Did you ever finish it ??? Would like to see it.
Yes. I will try to make an update video. Works great!
Did you fertilize it any?
